The Little Ouse Path is a short 10 mile long way-marked trail linking the towns of Thetford with Brandon and largely follows the towpath of the Little Ouse River across the unique Breckland landscape. With the exploration of Thetford's amazing historic sites and time spent looking for wildlife, it is a thoroughly enjoyable full day out. This short guidebook shows the route across the Brecks, highlighting hidden and exciting points of interest along the way.

Day 1: Thetford to Brandon (16.7km)
Before heading out on the trail I was aware of some of the incredible historic sites in Thetford. Right by the start of the walk are the ruins of St Mary’s Priory.
Time to head out onto the trail now in the direction of Brandon!
The Little Ouse River.
