This superb overnight wild camp on the summit of Blencathra took me up Souther Fell first and then to the tranquil spot of Scales Tarn. The ascent to the summit of Blencathra was via the incredible Sharp Edge, a steep ridge that is a Grade 1 Scramble leading to Foul Crag and the final climb to the top. The sunset was breathtaking and then I hunkered down for the night. After camping I descended via Mungrisedale Common, Bannerdale Crags and Bowscale Fell and back to Mungrisedale.
Having just arrived for a little break in the lovely mountains of the Lake District I decided on a little wildcamp on the summit of Hallin Fell to try and capture the sunset and sunrise the following morning.
