Today we arrived in South Wales for a short trip to hike to particular hikes, the first being this one up Sugarloaf to tick off another of the Trail 100 peaks. The walk was simply stunning! Short, easy and breath-taking views!

The stream called Afon Cibi from the beginning of the hike.

We crossed the beck and headed uphill.

The woodland was lovely to walk through.

Ysgyryd Fawr was seen as we left the woodland. Its referred to as Holy Mountain with a ruined chapel on its peak.

Looking north to the lower peak of Crug Mawr and the Black Mountains.

The narrow summit ridge and the Black Mountains - the highest being Waun Fach at 810m.

The view east.

And the view south to Abergavenny.

The view West towards Pen y Fan.

Beginning out descent back to the car.
