Duration: 7 Hours 3 Minutes
Continuing our trend of ticking off the Trail 100 Peaks for Nick we headed up to Helvellyn via Striding Edge, a route Nick has never done before and I knew he would thoroughly enjoy!
Heading out of Glenridding with views back to Place Fell - another of the Trail 100.
Rapidly gaining height. It was not far from here I found someones phone laying on the floor.
I ran up to this point to try and catch up the fell runners that passed us earlier who’s phone it turned out to be!
I had to rest a while to enjoy the view and recover from the uphill run! The view is just stunning from here. That’s Ullswater below and Place Fell opposite.
A little detour to the cairn on Birkhouse Moor.

A stunning narrow ridge - and not too busy today.
Nearing the end of the edge now as we make our final ascent to the summit.
